product-whore in the making

Last spring I had a quarter life crisis and dyed my jet black hair BLONDE in one session. I know, I know.. BIG MISTAKE !! Fast forward to a year later, and I'm still trying to reverse the damage that I did.

Luckily for me, my roommate works at a hair salon in Lincoln Park and through her, I've finally found a stylist that I love, and can completely trust. My hair isn't necessarily healthy juust yet, but it's getting there with the help of Lena's expertise... and a small army of products. I recently added the Kerastase Resistance Therapiste Serum to my hair care regimen and I'M OBSESSED ! Out of all the products I've used, the therapiste serum has earned it's place as my #1 favorite.

I'm in the market for a new hair dryer, and keep coming back to the T3 featherweight. Other hairdryers on my wishlist include the Rusk Speed Freak and the BlowPro Titanium.

I'm a firm believer that you should always buy your products in person, instead of online, so I've linked the websites of the salons/stores where I purchased my products.

I have a bad habit of heat styling my hair (every. single. day.) and I have extensions, so my stylist recommended that I try going a little longer in-between shampoos.  I asked her to pick me up a product to use on that laast day when I'm almost ready to give up, and I can't get enough of this guy right here.  If you're looking for a new dry shampoo, look no further

accent wall dreams

My roommate and I recently had to paint over the accent wall in our apartment, and doing so made me want a new one so, SO badly. We juuust resigned our lease, but we've already started the MUST HAVE list for our next place, and being allowed to paint is at the top !

Since our current apartment only allows tenants to paint if they get prior approval (yes, we broke the rules last time. shhh!), we're going to give renter's wallpaper a shot. My mom has done it in her preschool classroom in the past, and swears it's really easy. We're in the process of picking a fabric, and have already decided that if it goes smoothly, we're wallpapering the entry way too ! Keep your fingers crossed that this DIY project goes well because plain, off-white walls are wayyy too BORING.

We're not ready to take on the task of "wallpapering" just this second, so I'm keeping busy by searching for inspiration on Pinterest.  Here's a peak at what I've been pinning...
